On 1 April, the French Ministry for Ecological Transition published the results of the fifth tranche of the call for tenders for onshore wind turbines. Consequently, 35 companies will share the 749.3 MW allocated at an average cost rate of €62.9/MWh.
Following the success of the fourth call for tenders and the 109.2 MW obtained for the Richebourg and Richebourg II Wind Farms, an additional 25.2 MW was awarded to An Avel Braz for the Côte Noire Wind Farm.
Incidentally, according to the Envinergy study (1 April 2020), following these five calls for tender, six companies stand out for having garnered almost 50% of all contracts awarded by the French State. An Avel Braz is ranked sixth behind multinationals such as AXPO-Volkswind, TTR, Nordex, Boralex and Total Quadran.
